RFQ- Site Safety & Environmental Protection Services for Soil Import to Restore Hayward Marsh
The Project consists of the import and stockpiling of soil meeting geotechnical and environmental standards and controls. The stockpiling location is a former wastewater treatment pond that is in the process of being decommissioned. The primary goal of the Project is to stabilize the site by filling a former wastewater treatment pond to help prevent water quality and mosquito breeding issues, make fill available for future erosion repairs and other earthwork needs to decommission and restore the treatment facility, and to provide an upland area from which maintenance and operation activities can take place outside of nearby sensitive habitat. Special attention must be given to protecting water quality and avoiding impacts to Federal and State listed species that are located in the adjacent marsh.
